Privacy
Updated 31 October 2026.
No accounts
joy-stick.net has no sign-up, no login and no profile. Nothing on the site asks for your name, e-mail or any other personal detail. The server receives ordinary page requests and nothing else.
What stays in your browser
The tests read your controller through the browser’s Gamepad API and compute everything on your device. Results, the history of your test runs, the controller names you saw and your theme choice are kept in your browser’s local storage so they are there next time. None of it is sent to us. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it; there is no copy anywhere else.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. There are no advertising networks, no social buttons and no third-party trackers.
Analytics
We run our own analytics: we count visits and look at how the pages are used. That data is stored on our server and is not shared with third parties. If this ever changes, this page will say so and the date at the top will move.
The archive
The archive republishes pages from the original 1999–2008 site. E-mail addresses that appeared in those pages have been removed. If a page concerns you and you would like it changed or taken down, write to us.
